Have a problem with my 01 dodge. Started awhile back with what sounds like a miss at idle after truck has been drove. Doesn't seem to hurting truck performance wise. Takes fuel great just rough idle. Now sometimes when I shut it off and go to start it back it will start then die. Pump cycles when key is turned on and will run when starter is bumped. I've changed fuel filter. I can let truck set and cool off and it will start and run fine. Could this be a cam position sensor? No CEL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

need more details on the truck. but if it's a VP44, sounds like the lift pump a crapped out, and took the VP44 with it.
Id head to mopar1973man.com and talk there, they are the 2nd gen go to people.
you'll need to know how much fuel pressure your lift pump is providing, if it's still on the block next to the filter it's more then likely trash. get the in-tank pump.

Generally if an engine stalls due to fuel starvation it will need to be primed to start again or at a minimum require alot of cranking. You should have a fuel pressure gauge to verify adequate pressure.

Sounds like you need to find either a DRB scanner or a good snap on that reads live data. It should pick up whatever is happening when the engine cuts out.
