So I went to lunch, got back to work and headed back to the shop. We work about a mile from the parking lot so I can't see/hear the truck at tha

So I got head down to the gate to pickup the night shifters just a little bit ago, and one of the guys says 'Hey is your truck supposed to be running?"

So I go over to the truck, and sure enough it's still running... been running for about 2 hours. I have the SP Diesel turbo timer.

So I push the brake pedal (should shut the truck off), and that doesn't work. Turn the key on, back off push the pedal... nothing. After a few key turns and brake pedal it shuts off.

Curious if this has happened to anyone?

The only thing I did out of the ordinary is I had left my window open, so I turned the ignition back on to bring the window up,

I'm a bit worried something will short out and burn my truck to the ground!

Oh it could run longer if need be. Was the truck off when you left? I had a truck with a remote start and it used a relay to open the ignition wire. Well I had a bad ground on that relay and it wouldn't open the ignition wire.

it sounds like the controller in your timer cooked.

It happened with a remote starter I had a while back. It was starting and immediately turning off for like 2hrs in the parking lot. I unplugged it and never hooked it back up.

I'd say getting a new timer is probably in order.

Hey Nate - hope you and yours are well. I'd give the T-Timer outfit a call maybey they can shed some light, I'll bet like you suspect you confused it when you had to key back on to bring the window up. But, 2 hours I'd be concerned too.

On wifey's XC-70 one time I confused the sunroof (of all things ?) I got in and because there was a shady looking character coming up the street I locked with the key fob with the door closed, before inserting in the ignition and the SR & map lights didn't work? I later found that this confuses things and after three start stop cycles all goes back to normal. Possibly why all is well now w/T-timer. See what the T-timer outfit thinks. Later on.

I emailed SP Diesel last night, no response yet.

They have a phone #, but I've called numerous times before when I ordered the turbo timer and yesterday/today and I've yet to get to talk to someone.

Still no response from SP Diesel. It bugs me that they say to email because the phone is always busy, but they then don't answer emails in a timely fashion.
