I don't know if I can describe this accurately, but I have seen these steps on big-rigs but I can not find them anywhere. They are small,fold down steps for one foot. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Try a marine outlet store, these steps are used a lot on the masts of sailing vessels and on the transoms of some motor vessels.

Are you talking about the fold down step that hooks over the front or rear tire?

My step son gave one to me for some occasion. It came from PepBoy, AutoZone or some other auto parts house. I sure like it. When hooked over the front tire, I can reach most anything on that side of the engine and when hooked on the rear tire, I can reach far and wide on that side of the bed. These Dodge 4x4's are high, which makes things hard to reach and I'm fairly tall.
