Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
On my way to Nowel’s service coming over the Siskiyous I had my cruise and my e-brake on. Coming down on the California side the truck surged and the throttle went to the floor all of the gauges including the speedo and tach went to 0 and the engine shut off. I turned off the cruise and the truck restarted and all was fine. Decided to try just the cruise control and coming down another hill the truck surged again but this time the gauges and throttle stayed the same but the engine quite. Turned off the cruise and all was fine for the remainder of the trip. My malfunction light did come on and the good old 1693 code came up. Any ideas???
