First gen Dodge 205

Well guys, I took a short trip with 6 people in my truck(4 were kids) and decided (very quickly)I need more room, everytime I went for reverse or 4th gear someone's knees got nailed  . Not to mention my 4 year old kept kicking my leg as we went down the road. So I have two choices, one buy a 2nd gen crew cab/ extended cab truck or add a extended cab to my crew cab. What I am going to do is weld on an extended cab back and lenghten the frame about 2 feet. I am also going to convert to dually(thought about doing a t-rex, but I have too much money in this truck now:rolleyes: ) So I am in the market for a clean rust free extended cab cab section and a dana 70 axle and any suggestions on how to assemble this monster .

You have way to much time on your hands!Good luck with your project, fire up the plasma cutter, and welder. I 2nd you being nominated for psycho of the year.

I've hauled 9 people in mine. Two were sleeping, one watching TV, one was on the toilet, and there was a fresh pot of coffee on! :D Oh, and my dog was streched out on the front seat.

I know, I know... ... . nobody likes a smart a$$.

Time on my hands, I don't think so. But I do have more time than money;) I own my company fixing/selling computers and cash registers & go to school full time to get my Bachelors degree. Not to mention I have 3 boys, 8 , 4 and 8 months, with one on the way :D. Also I use my truck for work and a daily driver, I put on about 3500 a month:eek:

A Gen 1 extended crew cab is a sight to behold. About 2 years ago there was a black one sittinging front of the Court house in L. A. I went around the block three times just to get a better look at it. It really looked nice. Good luck with yours.

Well, there's 7 in our family... 5 kids plus wife and I, so you can see we're going to be a little cramped. So, I'm looking for one of those "shorty" sleepers for travelling in mine.

You might want to consider something similar?

Hello everyone, I was here last year, got real busy and now I'm back.

I think adding a center extension between the doors would be cool. There was a Chevy truck around here done that way.

But if you really want some room my friend told me of a Crew Cab with a Ramcharger rear section on the rear then a 6' bed behind it?

Has anyone seen this or is this an urban legend.

By the way I am selling the 83 W350 440 gasser its in the misc section.

Good Luck.

I have seen a six door ford F-350 (crew cab with one extra door) with an 8 foot bed up here in Alaska. Actually there are three of them here in the oil field. This would be a really cool on a Dodge, three doors on each side...

There is a limo service in the Ft Worth area that has some duelly crewcab Fords that have been stretched 8-10'. If you are going to stretch it, STRETCH IT!

Here is an ad I ran across at truckworld not mine I prefer the 1st generation myself But it looks nice

Kyle,

I came up with an empty bank account after Christmas!!! I found a guy no too far off that has 5 old dodges CHEAP.

I'm Thinking I'll fix up the body. . off the chassis. . then worry about running gear. The body it time consumng leaving time to build the bank roll for the mechanicals.

Definitely gonna be a diesel conversion 5. 9 or BIGGER and ????? transmission.

What are you gonna do without a daily driver?
