Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) truck value

I put my truck in the classifieds and was wondering what others thought of the price. It's ad 4744 I don't want to give it away and i don't want to try to rip somebody off. Thanks for your help Kevin

Don't worry you don't have a gun at their head. You can never go up and they can make an offer downward. Time will tell. I sold an outboard motor years ago and panicked no one called the first week so I dumped it. The next weekend I could have sold it 15 times for real.

How much did your dealer offer for trade-in?



It sounds like a good deal for someone who knows the cost of your mods.

They called and told me to bring it in for an appraisal by an outside appraiser but when i got there they didn't do no such thing and only offered me 16k. I told them that was insulting and told them to give my keys back and i left. I had a printout of the truck i would have ordered from them if they hadn't pulled that stunt with me. Now i have a tomeygun special on order.

There is a classified looking for a 2500 with less than 80,000 miles for a max of $24,000. Don't know if the advertiser is interested in mods or not but I would sure contact him if I were you.
