Does anyone know the weight of a 2002 Ram 2wd on the rear wheels only? OR total weight and front to rear percentages? I would prefer someone who has actually weighed the rear.

Actual weights are going to vary with configuration and options. I think that the attached chart should be pretty close. This info is from the 2001 Dodge Towing Guide.

Sorry, I didn't put the individual axle weights on the charts in order to keep them simpler.

For your combo:

Curb weight: 6310

Curb weight front: 3881

Curb weight rear: 2429

GAWR front: 4410

GAWR rear: 6084

I have an 01 and weighed with the tanks full. 100 gallons, I was 4140 on the steering axle and 3340 on the rear. This is an 01 2wd. This was a cat scale in Checotah, OK. at the flying J. This should get you real close. Hope this helps.

OK, great; thanks guys. My new 265/75SR16 tires take 2601# each, they ride GREAT, just was wondering how much I could carry before changing to originals for the tough stuff.

emarsh, your weight on the rears will be much lower than Okie-Go's, being his is a longbed and has 100 gal of fuel.

My shortbed 2wd was exactly 2750lbs on the rear wheels when I weighed it, with about 100lbs of sand in the bed and a full tank of fuel. I also had my stuff for the weekend, maybe worth another 50-70lbs in the cab. The front was 3750, bringing my truck's weight to 6500 pounds. Another time when I weighed my rig it there was basically nothing in it and low on fuel and was about 2600lb on the rear.
