2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Truck weight?

Anyone weigh their stock quad cab ETH DEE? That is, one without any significant extras installed?



I'm sorta wondering what mine weighs, but haven't had it across the scales yet - and now have added too much stuff to know what bare weight was before I started...

HMMmmm - wonder how close to reality that would be - as I recall a similar piece of data on the registration of my '91 claimed 4800, which was WAY low from what it really weighed...



Almost as bad as the weights claimed on the stickers of many RV's...

Gary a friend has a simialr truck to yours ,it weighs 6690 with no extras. It s 2wd quad lwb ETH. He got weighed at the scrap yard a few times.

rear --- 3040





I have about 150-200 lbs of tools in an aluminum box in the bed. Otherwise it's stock.

Thanks fellas - unless other info comes along, I'll assume around 6700 lbs, empty...



I did check the registration, it claimed 6090 lbs - I suspect that would be the BASE truck, smallest engine, no spare, and no fluids - it CERTAINLY is NOT representative of MY truck!

Just had mine weighed when I sent to the dump. I've got about 350 lbs of extras plus me at 210lbs and it was just over 7100lbs. Fuel tank was almost full, too.

6920lbs with my father and I in the cab, 1/4 tank of fuel, and a cross box full of tools, fluids, and etc.

It was pretty accurate for my truck. The dealer invoice should have the weight as shipped from the factory.

My 2001 CTD swb quadcab 2500 auto weighs 6440 with a full tank and nobody in the cab. That includes the premium coating in the bed and the new heavier T/C.

My registration reads 6672, which jibes pretty well with everything I know. Consider yourself lucky, your fees are based on weight!
