I also do not like anyone but myself turning wrenches on my trucks But their are GREAT mechanics in some of the DC shops!

Nathan my sympathies to you being stuck in IOWA!;)

Voice Your Dissatisfaction

Go to the Dodge web page and write them a note with the FACTS. Be sure to include the "technician's"name. "CC" a copy to the local Better Business Bureau and your state's Attorney General.

Be sure to HAMMER Dodge like this at least once a week. You will get results.

The ONLY thing these people understand is the bottom line - sales and $$.

throttle cable

My dad just took his in yesterday for the throttle cable recall, to our crappy dealer (CROWN DODGE IN VENTURA CA. ). When he got his truck back he jumped on the freway, the truck would not shift, he took it back and argued with them about the problem, they denied any mistakes where made. Finally they checked it out and they forgot to hook up the transmission linkage. Just an ongoing batttle with these knuckle heads which letters to bbb and dc have not changed, but still trying. late dwayne... ...

Truck at dealer

Sorry to hear about problems at Dodge dealers. Wowzers! I took mine into Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix for the throttle cable recall at 0715 on Tuesday August 14. The service writer (Jerry--Cheryl is also great) had me processed in in less than a minute, and a completion time promised. Then their courtesy shuttle took me to work, which was some distance away. The truck was done on time, as promised, and their courtesy shuttle picked me up within five minutes of of the estimated time. :)

The work was first rate and cleanly done. But then, Luke Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge has been a family business since 1927. I'd rate their purchase and service equal to a Saturn dealer.

Would I recommend them? Shucks, yes.

Matt:cool:

stuck in Iowa...

KWIKKURT---Being stuck in Iowa can suck. I am jealous of the fact that the the members near big cities have a good chance of having a Cummins dealership. The closest Cummins shops are over two hours away.

Anyhow it is the bad apples (bad mechanics) that can ruin the bunch. I feel happier at my local no-star dealer than a big five star. I have gotten to know the one mechanic at my D-C dealership that gets to work on the drivetrains (both GM and Dodge as the dealership deals in both). Getting to be known as a person , instead of "some customer's vehicle", helps getting things fixed right.

Besides, being at a big five-star dealership is bad for the pocketbook, because I might see another ram and want to buy a newer one instead of enjoying my current one. :D

Rats, had to go to work early today did not get a chance to take back to dealer, but when i got home fixed gauges, meatheads disconected power wire!Looked at throtle they put the rod on backwards, blocks p/s filler!! going in tomorow for sure. still did not find any trailor wiring replaced!!
