Archived Truck will not turn off

I have been having issues with my truck lately, when i turn the ignition off i have noticed the truck will lose all power but the engine does not stop. I will jiggle (for lack of better words) the ignition with the keys and it will finally turn all the way off. Any one have these issues and what suggestions do we have if the truck all of a sudden will not turn off. and yea it is a standard and i can just kill it, great on clutches and joints.

It sounds like you have a bad ignition switch. I just put a cooldown timer on my truck and it works by keeping voltage to the big blue ignition wire that keeps the engine running, even after the ignition switch is turned off and removed. I suspect that if there were a short in the switch it would do as you describe. Just a posibility. How many miles on your truck?

yea i have thought about using the cooldown timer to make sure my truck will shut off. Also i have 148000 miles on this truck
