transmission is not slipping or anything, it just won't shift into overdrive. Any suggestion?

its possible its your tps unit. have your trans. scanned and see if you get a fault code for the tps. bill

I unpluged the batteries to replace my headlight switch/harness, works fine now

I'll do some more trouble shooting tomorrow
