Last night, pulled up to a stop sign and pushed the clutch pedal down and nothing happened. It went to the floor, had to shut truck off in order to stop. Lucky I was close to home, drove it in 2nd gear the rest of the way home. So I figured it was the master cylinder/slave cylinder, no problem I have the stock one laying around. Put the old one in, had to lengthen the master cylinder rod a little. Pushed clutch in, started truck tried to put it in gear and she won't go. What the heck is going on? I can put it into gear when the truck is off and start the truck up and I can hold the truck there and release the clutch and truck will start to move, but won't shift out of gear. Please help, have a hot date Saturday night and have to get this truck running.

Correction, when I start the truck up in gear I cannot get it to stop, it just keeps going. I think I'm gonna try another master cylinder.

I think you need a clutch... . when they go it doesn't mean they slip first... you probably broke the center out or a spring came out and locked the clutch up.

CSnyder, Thanks for replying. I have an EEP double disk clutch, I don't think its the clutch, but I'm 100% sure. I'm gonna go and get a new slave/master cylinder and try that.

How did it go?

I'm guessing the master cyl - mine went about 1 month ago. Could hear fluid recirculating in the MC when the clutch was depressed. Also felt a little light on the pedal.

Could be clutch, but doubtful.

If not the MC/SC, then the pilot bearing. Locks up and drives the input shaft at motor speed even when the clutch is disengaged.

Good luck.
