Went to work today and shut off the truck. As soon as it shut off it turned back on. I have an edge juice with attitute. I unpluged the fuse for the turbo cool down and the truck turned off. But the edge still had power and started to beep with a fuel pressure warning. So I plugged the turbo cool down fuse back in and it stopped. But the edge will not turn off. The only way I can turn the truck off at this point is to unplug the edge and plug it back in at the turbo cool down fuse/abs fuse.
Next thing that happened to me this morning. It was raining and just plain nasty out. I was behind someone that was turning and had to brake. I was only going about 10 or 15 mph. As soon as I touched the pedal the brake went into an abs lock up like I was sliding on ice. I would of hit the car if they would not have turned when they did. I did several other brake tests after and everything seemed normal. I figured that there was just something slick on the road.
Is it possible that the two could be connected. I have never liked the brakes on the truck. I had warped stock rotors by 15,000 miles, egr brakes and calipers for about 50,000 miles now I have oem calipers agian and powerslot rotors with hawk pads, but the rear drums have always given me problems. Still to this day almost every day when I first leave in the mornings the rears either squeek or in loose gravel the passenger side will lock up. But after doing that once in the morning they are fine all day. I figured it was because of where I live with all the salt water.
I have tried turning the turbo cool down off on the edge and it did not make a difference. I have not checked anything else at this time. It is dark and rainy here right now and I figured I would figure it out in the morning.
Has this happened to anybody else?
