Truck wont shut off....

Got me one of the new Adrenaline's from Quadzilla for the truck. After 2 hours and enduring 30's in the temp range (God loves people who rig everything), the box is hooked up. My RECON is working... ... BAM. Truck wont start. Check the fuses, yep, #9, the one I hooked the RECON up to, is half way out (ENG fuse). Pushed it in, engine ran fine. Drove down the road to auto zone (needed better tape to hold the RECON on the dash) and when I got there, turned the key to off... ... . didn't turn off. Needed to pull the fuse Anybody got any ideas?

is the turbo timer on? tap the go pedal next time and see if it shuts off

first dodge diesel I have ever owned, soooo..... how do i tell if this timer is on... if not t. . any other ideas? thanks tech.....

you got the adrenaline with pulse? than you need to go into the turbo timer/temp screen and adjust your options

nope..... adrenaline with RECON. I had a small inkling at first that maybe a turbo timer was the gremlin, but I thought that I needed to download that (turbo timer) to the module to actually work that one out. Gonna try that when I go out today... thanks

oops sorry was getting the recon and the commander mixed up, I bet that there is a turbo timer, best thing to do is when you shut it off, tap the go pedal and see if it shuts the engine off, if the turbo timer/temp is keeping it on, than the engine will shut off

Turbo Timer

You can set your Turbo Timer to be time based or EGT based but, you cannot set the timer to work off both time and EGT. Setting the Turbo Timer up will allow your truck to run without the key in the ignition to allow your vehicle to properly cool off. This increases the life of many parts on your truck including your turbo charger. To disable or kill the truck once the Turbo Timer has activated, simply press the accelerator pedal lightly.

Enter the main menu by pressing the Menu button.

Select Turbo Timer by highlighting it and pressing Enter

Select either EGT Setting or Timer Setting by highlighting it and pressing Enter

Use the Up and Down arrow to select the desired EGT your engine must get down to, or the desired time you want the engine to run after you turn the ignition off before the vehicle shuts down, when finished press Enter

Once set, the Turbo Timer menu will show you which setting is turned on for future reference.

*If you select an EGT that is lower than the engine can get down to the Adrenaline will automatically shut the vehicle off after 15 minutes of runtime as a safety precaution.

**When selected, a Turbo Timer Icon will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the main display. For EGT the icon is (thermometer symbol) for Time it is a (clock icon)
