truck won't start after foglight install

Installed a set of fog lights last night and went out this morning to a dead truck. Lights work, radio on, chime works, but absolutely dead when I turn the ignition. Only thing I did different was to wire the violet wire to the positive terminal so the lights will work with high beams. Anyone with anything similar?

I'm wondering if you bumped a connector in the proccess. Maybe ignition switch or clutch interlock wiring?



Not sure what violet wire you're talking about. Where is it? Are you sure it's for the lights?

Check the fuses under the hood. I blew a fuse working on my guages w/ the power on (whoops) grounding the wire I tapped to and blew the fuse. everything worked except the gear selectorl light and the ignition It was a 25 amp fuse.

SOOOO Simple... Gear shifter wasn't all the way in park. Noticed that the box wasn't around the P. Jiggled it a bit, and the mighty Cummins roared back from its slumber. Whew!
