I have a 2001 Cummins 5 speed 4x4 with 268k on the clock. Truck ran great two weeks ago when I parked it. Went to go drive it yesterday and it wouldn't start and showed the No Bus signal in the odometer reading. Anybody have any help on this? Thank you

Had same display on wifes 2008 jeep also no crank. did a reset on TIPM. Total integrated power modual.
check out MAK"S you tube videos on reset. Good Luck

A 2001 doesn't have a TIPM. Check for varmints chewing on wires, check battery connections and charge, pull the battery cables and let the ECM discharge and reset as a staring point.

"No Bus" refers to the computer network that connects the computers in your truck. There's lots -- ECM, PCM, instrument cluster, ABS module, even the radio. "No Bus" means the instrument cluster can't communicate with the ECM. Start by disconnecting the batteries for a few minutes to reboot everything. After that check the wiring, remove and reseat the connectors on the ECM. It could be a wiring problem or it could be the ECM has died. If your truck has volume controls on the steering wheel (on the back) then check if they still work. That uses the bus too.

Check the wire bundle on P/S fender area for chaffing &/or connector pins for corrosion/or loose. A FSM wiring diagram would be very helpful also.
Go to YouTube and type in:
2001 dodge cummins no bus
There are some good videos on how to diagnose your problem.

I had the same issue a while ago. Ended up being a blown fuse on the panel inside the cab. I believe it was number 9.
