My buddy has a '99 that was running fine and he shut it off to talk to a lady at the scales, when he went to fire it back up it wouldn't start. At first it seemed to not be getting any fuel. We swapped out the lift pump from my '01..... nothing. then he swapped out the injection pump... ... NADA. Now it seems to be getting lots of fuel but no start, Everything was bled out and..... zip, nothing! Could it be computer related? BTW we cannot get any codes from the truck. Any ideas?

He also said he noticed that before this happened, it would run fine with little pressure on the pedal but the further he pushed it down the slower it went. Could it be TPS?

Possibly an ecm. Try smacking the ecm lightly while someone else cranks on it. I've run into this problem once before and it was a bad ecm. Just make absolutely sure that it is really bled first.

I saw this happen once with the Mopar/Cummins (thru Mopar or Cummins networks) Performance ECM. The guy put the factory one back on and not a problem since. .

Now you know why I like my smoky ole p pump. .

Stay with it and let us know. .

Sure you didn't get the 0121 apps voltage low when it did the codes?

Maybe a drb will flush out something. .

Good luck

Andy

My brother in law had this problem with his 03. Turned it off and could not get it restarted. They came and got it and had to replace the ECM. It was running fine last time I talked to him.
