no sig in your post. but my 98 did the same thing it was the contacts 1 was burned. you can get new contacts from larry b's at fostertruck.com install is simple and takes @ 45 min if you stop to get a new beverage.

Get a friend to stand in front of the truck, turn on the headlights, and try to start it while your friend watches the lights. Do the lights go out when you turn the key?
