I pulled my truck out of my shop to work on my dads van & when I went to put it back it wouldn't start. The only code it is showing is p0477 which is Exhaust pressure Control Relay low. I Changed oil & filters two weeks ago & has been running fine. Truck only has 35K original miles on it, just been using it for a daily driver this last year. I know the fuel is good I have a full tank & get my fuel at our bulk plant that I retired from. Checked the fuel pump fuse under the hood Pulled the cap off the fuel filter canister & it was full. Any ideas?

We are seeing more issues with batteries on the verge of not putting out enough during cranking . Is this a daily driver ? when were the batteries last replaced?

It seems to crank ok but I am stretching my luck on the batteries. They are original 9 years old. But I put my volt meter on them & they are at 90% It acts more like a fuel delivery problem but no codes to that effect. With only 35,000 original miles I can't believe the transfer pump back in the tank has already failed & I figured it would throw a code if it did. Maybe tomorrow I'll hook my battery charger to it & try again. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks I read that whole thread & it makes sense. Especially that I being the conservative person that I am trying to get the most out of my batteries. I think I will try & jump it this morning when my brother comes over with is truck & head down to the tire store for some new batteries. I'll let you know if that solves the problem. Thanks

P0477 Low Voltage On The Engine Brake Driver

That is the correct description for the code. Pretty sure you have eithe rlow batteries or a problem on the ECU power feeds. Time to check those connections and grounds to make sure. When you start seeing driver voltage errors start looking at power and ground connections.

Bought two new batteries today & checked all connections but still no start so it went to the dealer. In 13 years with two different dodges I have never been back to a dealer. Hope it isn't going to hurt too much but I'm not confident enough to do more than I've tried already.

Moderator you can remove this post to the archive side.

Dealer called & said fuel leaking back from pressure relief valve, so that's what they are replacing. I seen an old post on another forum back in 2009 had the same problem. What gets me is I only have 35,000 miles on the truck since new in 05.
