Truck wont stay running

I just replaced the tappet gasket . I had to remove the pump , lift pump. and fuel filter also vac. pump . Now truck will only start with throttle all the way open but does not run at full speed then it dies out. I checked the gear time on the gears and it is on the money. Im thinking pump lift maybe off.

Did you remove the lift pump? Normally, a bad lift pump will allow idle, but not higher load/RPM. I would bleed the injectors again. Screw them all down finger tight, then back them off 120deg. Crank until you see fuel spurt up onto the bottom of the hood. Quit cranking, tighten the lines that spurted. Repeat till all lines are bled. Make sure your fuel line connections at the pump end are also tight. They can be tricky sometimes.

Thanks for the reply. I took of the gear cover and found the gear timing was of by 2 teeth. Its working good now. Again thanks for your help.
