What's the best way to go if you want to add a truckbed fuel tank? I've already invested $200 on an over-the-rail bedliner, so I'd like to leave it installed. Anybody out there have a recommendation? My first post; wish me luck... .

I have a 90 gal. American Tank & Tool Box combo. If I remember correctly they make the combos in 45, 65, and 90 gal. sizes. I've only had it long enough to run a couple of tankfuls through it, but so far I am pleased with it. It sure lets you run a long time between fuel stops. I am planning on buying a 5th wheel in the future and wanted the fuel capacity to prevent frequent fuel stops and take a lot of this cheap Oklahoma diesel with me. Click on the product reviews when you enter this web site and there is a review on these tanks. If you want to email me with questions, feel free.

I installed a transfer flow last fall. Just prior to that I put in a rhino liner. I was pleased with the liner even without the tank. The dropin made a lot of noise. It aso rubbed the paint in the bed and collected dust underneath. I originally did it to give a solid surface for the Transfer Flow.

The tank bolts through the bed. Through the winter, no towing, I only fuel up once a month. I was speaking with Bill K. and he mentioned that the steel tank may have more condensation than the plastic one. I have not experienced water in fuel yet.

Transfer flow is more $$, however it is a good tank. The inside is coated. Very pleased with the computer controlled fuel transfer and minimal intrusion to the stock fuel system. It goes in thevent hose. No valves or fuel line cutting.
