Competition Washington, PA Truck Pull???

Competition my first runs at gateway drag track!

I just want to think everyone for coming out to Truckfest. Several Dodge owners came out from all over the country to help teach thoes gas burners a lesson. It was a real eye opener for thousands of people in the mile high city. One of the guys from Rocky Mountain Cummins came to the track with a Diesel powered rail car. Even being topped out in the eight mile he ran a low 10. 1 in the quarter. Cant wait to see this thing with some smaller gears in it. Mike from ATS ran a 12. 88 in his 24 valve Cummins. Christian from BD ran a 12. 88 on slicks. Don from ATS ran a 13. 8 in his 24 valve. Clint from ATS ran a mid 13 run in the new Duramax. Sean a friend of the ATS crew ran 15. 6's all day in a crew cab long bed ford. And I was running 13. 9's all day in my 12 valve 5 speed on #2 diesel Thanks to Peter from South bend Clutch for flying out with a new clutch that can really hold all the power that my Cummins builds. :D

Oh, yeah - It was an absolute blast. Thanks to everyone for making it the greatest Truckfest to date - what a turnout!!!

The new ATS sponsored Diesel class was awesome! Quite an eye opener - seeing 7000-8500 pound trucks moving down the track in the 12's and 13's...

It was great meeting alot of the people from TDR, and fellow diesel truck enthusiasts. My personal thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting all of the race participants and vendors.

Sorry I missed it, is there a Bandemere site where I can get numbers and results? My brothers drive Ford and Chevy and I just wanted to stick yet more proof that our trucks rule in their face!

The website is www.bandimere.com, but I don't see where they plan to post Truckfest results. Looks like they only do that for point races.

I brought one but was too busy fixing a blown head gasket:(

Peter(SBC) was in the truck with me. . I laid a couple hundred yards of rubber in 4 gears:--)

I drove out to Denver for the event and blew a head gasket hotrodding. I didn't warm up the truck first. huge case of dumba$$.

Lucky me. . ATS had a gasket and they let me use the shop with full tools all night long... all for free!!!!

Craig and Justin(NON TDR type;)) stayed up till 3am on saturday to get the heavy lifting done. I can't thank them enough. I just didn't get all the bugs out to go racing. :(

Craig ripped out a 13. 9 on #2 only, single turbo, 5spd!!!!!

Clint Cannon ran a 13. 6 in his D-Max

Don Ramer managed a 13. 8

The star of the show was Mike form ATS running 12. 89, 12. 93 , 13. 1 on sunday and 12. 93, 12. 93, 13. 0, 13. 1 on friday!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he's only had it for 4 MONTHS :--)

Christian from BD pulled out a 12. 8 but broke . . the transmission I think. . on slicks and towed to the event. Good runs still.

All of the ATS guys drove there and drove home. . a feat in itself for sub 14. 0 trucks at 6000ft of elevation.

I'm really bummed about not racing but I still had fun and got home in one piece. Clint and Renee were very gracious hosts for my son and I. The rest of the crew at ATS was tremendous help.

And thanks again Craig, Justin. . I'd still be in Denver without you.

Later,

Mark

It is awesome watching a 7000 lb. truck run the 1/4 mile under 13 seconds at this altitude with a single turbo and street tires. It was a great event with a great turnout. Sorry I did not get to meet Mark. I did get to meet Peter of South Bend Clutch.

Hopefully I will do better next time.

I'm telling you... . you can be doing it too if you'll cave on your "only need 400hp" idea ;)

To answer Bob's question, yes Earthroamer was snapping pictures as well as all diesel pushers were driving. I have had the chance to see Bill's work in person, and all I can say is that it is a shame they are not printed in color in the TDR publications.

Stake is starting to get racitis, I give him a couple more weeks before he "finds" more power. :p Or else I'll be #416;)

To answer Kat's Question about No2, I think that of all the diesels racing at Truckfest except for four of us were on either propane or No2 or?????

Don, Clint, Mike and Christian were running drugs,

Don and Clint run about 14. 0-14. 1 on #2 only.

Mike has been running in the same range on #2 only. . i don't recall the exact et.

Don is making his 13. 8 at 108mph:--) . . the highest mph at the event for a diesel truck. He seems to have some trouble getting off the line but really screams on the topside:cool: . I bet he'd rock at tractor pulling.

Those fellas at ATS ar really squeezing the power out of their trucks. I can't wait to see what a head and cam do for Mike:eek:
