i am totally pumped to get my new truck... problem is, i still have my ranger... i really really don't want to trade it in... looks like i will have to though... oh well... $10,000 for 16 months isn't bad for a ranger right? :--)

Yea i still have my 99 dodge ctd 4x4 w/ 120k i hope to get 12k for trade in. i hope they dont try to rape me on the trade i am very nervous about this. we will see

My salesman wouldn't even talk trade, until my truck comes in. He said they don't use blue-book value, but rather current "auction" rates. Neons aren't worth much right now  . I'll do much better in a month or two. You 4wd people would probably do better now. Might be good to get a locked value (on paper).

i have a locked value... it's just really small... dealerships don't care about things like snow and 4x4 vs snow and fwd... they are just going to give you a very low number because they know they've got you stuck... what options do you have? keep it and pray to sell it quick or just trade it in, get screwed, and not have to worry about it...

i finally got a call on the ranger today. guy was very very interested. just a little worried about the miles (nearly 70k on a 2-year old truck)... i understand where he is coming from. hopefully he will come and look @ it though... i've really taken care of it...
