Just finished reading the TST catalog - it says that gas mileage will stay the same with the 230/605 plate if I keep my foot out of it. It also says that stepping up to the next size injector will increase mileage also. Has anyone found this to be true?

Thanks

My first plate and bigger injectors gave me better mileage while towing. Without towing my mileage dropped alittle- there was no way I could keep my foot out of the throttle with the new power. Only got worse with my next plate and bigger exhaust. Towing got alittle better but not towing it dropped again-big problem with my right foot-to heavy. :)

It is very true, except that the fun factor the truck will now have will decrease your mileage. It's just too tempting to use the power that you just unleashed.

The TST 230/605 (#8) plate has not hurt my mileage when used in a normal driving and towing manner. Of course it will use more fuel if I use the extra power for "jack rabbit" take-offs, etc. .

See sig, I get 17. 3 mpg time after time around town and I dont baby it but dont hammer it all the time either. 22 mpg hiway running empty at 74mph. All the mods dont seem to hurt it much ifyou keep your foot light.

I wish. :D :D

Since I've done the mods, my right foot has gained about 50 lbs. :)

I see 17 mpg regularly, that's combo driving. In town and highway. I've seen as low as 15 mpg when it's mostly in town driving. This truck is no where near babied. Ask anyone whose ridden in it. ;)

you might want to think about the transmission too. i have an unlock switch on mine ;) (and a ground stock plate that equals #0, but i could still slip the lock up clutch with the stock plate forward).
