Last I heard no one had installed one on an 03 yet so I thought I'd let yall know that it works just fine. I got it calibrated perfectly using my GPS and there are no problems so far. Just have to solder the connections to make them permanent now.

Just tap the same wire they tell you for 98-01 trucks on the plug going to the ABS controller.

I can take some pics when I get to soldering that connection. As for the box I mounted it to the aluminum piece under the dash on a nice flat spot around where the clutch pedal would be on a manual truck.

Grounded it to the dash frame, and powered it off a wire in the steering colum w/ a T-tap.

Apparently these aren't even needed on '03s. The dealer can use their DRB tool to set tire revolutions down to a pretty small number, something like 400 revs per mile. This is from someone on the DTR site:

He hooked up the thing to the diagnostic port under the dash, scrolled down to the section on the ABS system, selected 'revs per mile'; I told him to plug in 600 (the range on the screen allowed anything between 400 - 900!!)"

On the ABS menu -

Choice 1 is 235(?) tires

Choice 2 is 265

Choice 3 is "Other"

Pick that, & then you can get 'revs per mile'.

400 revs per mile is a HUGE tire (38" at least I think).

I think if this is accurate, it's definately they way you want to go as everything is automatically compensated for (ABS,speedometer, etc. )

I don't think changing it in the computer is any better than doing it the way I did it still reads the same numbers for everything, and knowing myself it is nice to know that I can change the reading whenever I change tire sizes without having to go to the dealer. Also, my local dealer is not very "UP" on things and they are a PITA to work with if they haven't done it already.

i'd like to recalibrate my speedo to read correct, but i like the idea of my warrenty lasting that ±10% longer with it not reading quite right. as long as i drive the posted speed limit according to my speedo, i don't have to worry about speeding tickets [i was tailing my pop in his silverado and when he was doing 65kph i was doing about 58kph]

My pops did his 3rd Gen. on the DRB and it took 5 min. He's got 315's. Worked perfect! I have the truspeed for mine and the DRB is a lot better than paying the $130 to do it!!!!
