Parts truck for $ale

Check out bully dog technologies on trucks tv on TNN this weekend. Saturday the 18 and Sunday the 19. Trucks is going to be profiling some of bully dogs mainline products including chips, propane, and exhaust.

It should be a good show. Trucks is going to be dynoing the truck as they add bully dog's parts to show how bully dog's products really add horse power and torque.

What surprised me is with all those expendsive mods including propane & nitrous the Dmax only dynoed 489. I heard of some Max's getting higher than that with just electronics.

489? I watched it today and I think the first run was 423 (propane) and second was 455 (propane and N2O). . I couldn't believe they picked up a measley 32 hp from N2O and seemed happy about it.

How about the fact that he had a 210hp box on it with the propane and only got 423hp? Let alone the fact the first dyno only showed the Dmax at 196hp stock. I would also like to know how they were able to hold the trans in 4th gear or direct without a tech 2?? And he didn't mention anything about the trans going into limp mode with that much power. He never talked about adding upgrades to the trans. Sure makes Bully products not look all that good for the Dmax.

what year duramax was it? 03's have an OD lockout allowing lockup in 4th gear. that mod can be done to the 01 and 02 years too. . there is instructions floating around on the dieselpage forums [they came from a GM Outfitter PDF flyer]

He did actually, but just at the very end after the dyno run. . He said something like "naturally, with all of this power you'll need to upgrade the transmission to handle it - which this truck already had done before it was brought to us".

Anyway. . I thought it was an interesting show, but that truck looks like pure rice.

Oh, and I think he said it was a 2002, but don't quote me on it. .

Does anyone know where to get the switch panel that they were using to hook up all the accessories. I need one bad, and that looked like a quality unit.

Thanks,

Bill

Yeah, I was hoping to find one of those too. Nice looking unit.

If Painless did not make it, they probably make one like it only better. They make some nice stuff. Their auxiliary lighting kit is awesome. It comes with all the wiring, relay and a lighted factory looking switch with a picture of a light on it. It mounts in a hole that can easily be dremeled. It is flush with the dash any looks like it came that way. It sells for $30. 00 at Sumitt. Quality products across the board!!... CJ
