Anyone using the TRW Trac Bar from Advance Auto? If so how is it performing? Advance has it for $100. 73 w/lifetime warranty.

Thats a pretty good price unless its going to where out in 5k miles. My trac bar is on its way out too I think so I am also searching for an affordable replacement that will last a little longer.

That is where mine came from and its still going strong after 10,000 miles, if and when it starts to loosen up i am going to do the lukes link treatment. Oo.

I have been considering Lukes's Link. Maybe there is something I am missing but from what I read most have to take a grinder to it to make it fit and when it wears it will need a rebuild kit. The TRW at $100. 73 has a lifetime warranty. Just go get a new one and start over again. I don't doubt that Lukes's Link works its just for the price of the TRW it seems cheaper in the long run. As I said maybe there is something I am not considering.

Thanks for all of the posts so far! I would think several have tried the TRW bar if you have how is it working?

UPDATE:

I decided to go for the Advance TRW trac bar, Monroe steering damper and the DSS.

I took the truck to get the alignment checked today because the steering wheel was off center. To my surprise the new trac bar had movement in it! I brought it home changed the trac bar again and took it back. This time everything is ok. No alignment change just the steering wheel to re-set.

The truck drives better than new! Am I impressed with the TRW trac bar? I am not sure yet. I hope it was just bad luck. The guy at the alignment shop said he has seen this happen before with front end parts. He felt the TRW should be a good bar. I will keep close check on it and see what happens.
