Hi all, I have a stock '03 that I need to change my tire revs and was wondering if anyone has connected with Cummins Insite thru a laptop??

I've got the J1939 adapter called out by Cummins for my system but can't find the connector on the engine(3pin Deutsch) supposidly around the CP-3 pump area per the online info from Cummins. I found a 3pin weatherpack hanging there but no standard J-1939 Deutsch, Can anyone help me out???

Thanks, Robert

I don't think they have one on the engine. Your option may have to be connecting through DC's dataport under the dash.

Insite will not connect to anything newer than 2003. Dodge doesnt want Cummins to have access to the ECM. When I worked at Cummins, I tried several different things to get it to connect and it wont do it.

Your going to have to get the DRB II from Chrysler.

sometime in '02 Dodge specified a different ECM communication protocol that Cummins doesn't have. you have to go to the dealer.

Thanks guys, I figured they would do something like that!! I guess I need to find out what a card will cost for a DRBIII as we only have a card for Sprinter here at work. I haven't used one very much but it looks like thats all I need.
