New to me 03 CTD... truck has no 12v or aux. power to trailer plug... checked all fuses and they are good. 40 amp fuse for trailer battery installed. All other things work just no power to the plug. Any help would be greatly appreciated... got to get up to my hunt area and scout this weekend.

If your trailer plug is the same as my '07, I had simular issues. My factory trailer plug has a gang connector from the truck wire loom that plugs into the back side of the trailer plug socket. Try disconnecting it from under the truck or easier yet, unbolt the 4 torx screws that hold the socket to the bumper and pull it out. Release the red lock and then unhook the plug from the gang connector. Check at the gang connector for 12 volts constant. I put some dielectric grease on the connections and had no more issues. .

stabbed each of the hot wires to each plug... one at the bumper and one that is installed in forward part of the bed... no power to each of the plugs...

MH... I will take a look at that and see if that is the issue... thanks.

I don't know about a plug at the forward part of the bed. Someone have a slide in camper?
The best way to find the issue is to start at the fuse panel and work back.
If you are SURE you have the right fuse then proceede from there. Worst case would be to run a new wire and tie it in before the rear plug
