A few day's ago I saw a set of step bars I am be interested in but after a two hour search on the web I could not find them.

They were made from 2" round stock, ran almost the full length of the cab and tucked up tight to the rocker panel. At both the front and back doors, they had steps that would be best described as a small version of the Carr Super Loop made out of possibly 1 1/4" tubing.

The were on a Super Duty if that helps.

Thanks,

If you mean something like these, they are Smitybilt bars. I fgot them from Central4WheelDrive for ~$220 for the set.

Wow!

That n-fab place has LOTS of really sweet stuff!

I really dig the custom cantilever dual shock absorber setup on that F-150... .

I saw a Chevy this afternoon on the way home from work with a similar setup and I was able to read the N-Fab sticker while on the freeway.

The Ford had a similar setup with about half as much drop on the steps. Maybe the owner fabbed his own.

Thanks!

The prerunners on the N-Fab website looks great on both 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. How have i never heard of this company before. Wish i would have know before i got my westin tube steps. Learn something every day.

IMHO The N-Fab tubes could have a better mounting system. The mount to the bottom edge of the body panels (you can see the bolts in the pic posted by Speed Guy) This may be a good mounting setup, but it seems a little weak.

I dont see how it could be any worse than the mounting system on my westins. My jack off friend jumped up and down a couple times on one and bent the mounting bolts. This could be a way better set up.

I have some ICI's, Innovative creations i think they're called. They mount firmly to the underside body mounts, replacing the entire bolt. Then there's a support arm that screws into the underside body for leverage support. You don't really need that, i had them on for 6 months before i finally got under there again to drill the holes. They come with self tapping screws, i just didn't feel like drilling my new truck.

Now that i hammered it up pretty good i could care less. Those initial scratches are the toughest!
