I have a problem with my radio that may or may not be related to this TSB. For those of you familiar with it -- The TSB states that "condensation builds up across the audio amplifier circuitry causing amplifier to shut down".
The symptom that I'm experiencing is intermittant, but my stereo seems to lose 90% of the FM signal. I didn't think to try the CD when this happens, but will next time. Either way, the warranty is up Wednesday and I need to have them look at it and am curious if this TSB applies. I've tried changing stations (broadcasting towers only a few miles away), but usually only about 1 of the 6 I have programmed comes in at all and it's very weak.
The TSB affects '04 DR trucks built before 01/30/04. Mine is an '04 build in september of '03, so it might be the problem. I'm just not sure if the symptoms are a 100% match.
Thanks!!
