Well... I was over my 3yr/36k mile and this TSB was brought up a few weeks back and sparked my desire to have it done. The service writer got nasty about me being 3k over the bumper to bumper warranty. We haggled... . I called his boss... he too was an A%%H#L* but three days later they called and said to bring it down as they would do it.

I was informed that the cost of the RF filter was $495!!!! I was amazed because there can't be more than $20 worth of parts in the package.

I arrived at the service place this morning waited 45 min for my favorite Cummins Tech to approach me. He asked me where I had found this TSB and of course I'm proud to say TDR. He then showed me the install instructions from Dodge. It tells the service person to unplug the harness above the fuel tank just above the fuel pump!!!!

According to this instruction it is refering to "gas" powered Dodge trucks.

Now I look like an idiot to the service writer but he never questioned the TSB that I handed to him 2 weeks prior.

The Tech said he'd call Dodge and ask about the proceedure for the ISB. He stated he had never even seen this TSB 08-10-00 before.

I'm at a loss to understand how I got into this mess:confused:

Has anyone done this and had noted success in reduction of RF QRN to receivers running 3. 5 Mhz to 21 Mhz?

I run my radio setup on 40/20 meters, and have absolutely NO vehicle-generated noise/RFI of any kind - regardless of engine speed, or shut completely off...
