Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I'm making headway on the getting my 6 speed fixed - the infamous hard shifting/gear clash problem. Esposti Jeep Eagle in Cloverdale, CA is taking care of me. They ordered the parts and should have them next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
The TSB is dated October 15, 2001 - it's not on Dave Fritz's site. The jist of it is to replace or repair the countershaft assy. A new countershaft assy, PN 05073361AA, has been made available if the shop does not have a 20 ton press. It does not say what the failure mode of the countershaft assy is.
I'll try to scan it on Monday. It isn't very informative but it's a start. I called New Venture Gear the other day and got the standard "we're not aware of any problems" answer.
