After my battery fiasco, my air cond. quit working. I have the Chrysler Bumper to Bumper 7yr/70k warranty. Dealer said a/c compressor bad & is covered. Whew!! But I also asked them to do the TIPM flash for tail lite draw and mechanic said there was another power train flash also.

Does anyone know if TSB's are covered under Chrysler's extented waranty?

And if not what would be a resonable price to flash?

Thanks

The dealer should tell you about any flash updates for your truck when it is in for service. If you agree to have it updated, it should be free. The updates are Chryslers programing repairs that will prevent you from coming back with a warranty issue. I just had my TIPM flash done when my truck was in for service. No charge for the flash because other service work was beeing done to my truck. :)

Well, that was my thoughts also. BUT the truck is out of the factory warranty and I just have the extented warranty. But it is thru Chrysler.

I know how hard the after market warranties try to get out of EVERYTHING!

I'm just afraid Chrysler will too!:-laf

The dealer can run the labor ops and tell you what is covered... ... ... The term bumper to to bumper is sooooooo untrue. The Max care does cover a lot but no bumper to bumper exist!

Thanks, bob4x4. I said bumper to bumper, because I couldn't think of Max care. It was sold bumper to bumper, but I know better also. Max care was the best at the time.

Hey Bob 4x4 what later flashes are out there for our trucks that you would recommend . Since mine is an 04. 5 and has not seen the dealer in a long time.

Lol I think the f&i guys that use the term

Bumper to bumper should be flogged

A good flogging sonds good to me!!:-laf My first truck 1998 & my 2006, both had great knowable salesmen. But the Finance Mrgs were the pits!! The last f&i tried to sneak in their own extended warranty 'till I caught him, and then wouldn't even sell me a Chrysler OEM contract. So I bought it on line and saved a bunch.

Oh, by the way the dealer (Klaben Dodge) did the tipm & engine flash and charged me only the dectible and arranged for the free loaner. Fingers crossed, everything seem ok!:) Thanks everyone for your input.
