advice on gear ratios

Dodge has a fix for those who pull 5th wheels to lower the rear end 1-7/8" (TSB 02-001-01). The price I got on this was $1072, which seems like a lot. Has anyone used this kit? Does it simply take 1-7/8" off the riser blocks? I could do that without the kit! Or is there more involved than that?

Welcome to the TDR!!

I lowered the backend of my 1 ton for about $100 or so. All you need is smaller lift blocks, if you don't go offroad, you don't even need shorter U-bolts. You don't need all that extra junk Chrysler sells to just make the price higher either. If you search through the threads, you will find quite abit on this subject.
