Hey all,



I have an 05 that I tried to get two PCM reflash TSBs done on and the dealership wanted over $100 dollars a piece for the reflashes. The truck is 9k miles out of warrenty. I understand labor costs but this seems excessive to me. Is there a way to get the downloads yourself and install them? Would anyone have an alternative? I don't take the truck to dealers for maintenance as I do most of it myself and haven't had any problems with it since I've owned it.

Well you need a Chrysler tool DRBIII most dealers charge 80. 00 should have been able to do both for the same price try a different dealer. Why do you want the flashes done if it's running fine?

TSB 18-003-06 is supposed to address a long crank starting issue and enhanced battery charging. While I don't seem to have an issue with the charging system, I would like to get the long cranking issue taken care of as I experience that sometimes. There is also a flash that is supposed to correct oil pressure readings when the truck is running above 195 degrees which mine does in the summer here in San Antonio.



As you said, it runs just fine so maybe I should save myself a couple hundred dollars.

Tell them they are smokin' crack . I know all things are "BIG" in Texas but that amount sucks. The gauges are just "idiot" gauges one step up from the old "idiot" lights. Buy some real gauges.
