trying to log on tsb forum and says im using wrong password beleive problem is with all the up dates that are going on. the search engine is down. what is another site that i can print off a tsb for our trucks i have the tsb # thanks to paychk.

hdm48 thanks for the info that is what i was looking for. got it printed. i am wondering if anybody knows for sure on cowl crack if the water leaks around the vent on dr. side down in. that is where mine is coming in. removed side vent it seemed like it was sealed very tight with foam seals and wheather adhesive. with vent removed and run water on corner of cowl most water you can see looking through the vent hole goes down throgh middle not entering truck. and some of the water drips inside truck. want to make sure have cowl crack problem before going through all the work. any reply would be great for this rookie ctd owner

The cowl crack problem is apparent when you hear a loud popping or crackling noise coming from what sounds like under the dash or at the base of the A-pillars. There is an article on it in Issue #33 page 40.



The water coming in at the vents is common, not caused by cowl cracks. Just make sure it's sealed there real good. Make sure you don't have a build up of leaves/twigs/etc in the cowl vent panel at the base of the windshield so it can drain properly. Hope this helps.

yessss dry again

after reading the cowl crack tsb decided that was not my problem. what i did was silicone my vent shut and sealed it into panel. poured the water to it and it is dry

pulled carpet up and put the die grinder to it. and repaired a few tiny holes with some glass and 3 layers of rust eater and then under coated top and bottom and put carpet down. my first repair since buying truck thanks for replys that ya'll sent or i m have pulled fenders
