I have a question about TSBs? Can I drive into the dealer and ask them to do them without a hassell ? and are they done free? thanks Ski

They are done free if you are under warranty and there is an apparent need.



It would be more easy to answer this question if we knew your mileage and the TSB in question.

If you are under warranty, have thrown a related code or are having a known symptom, they should be done for free. If you jut ask for them to be done, like the one upping the trailer harness voltage stuff or re-sizing for tires, they will charge you, warranty or not.

This is not always the case if you have access to a decent dealer. I have not had a problem getting unrelated TSB's done to my truck. I had the high idle feature enabled on my 06 and that TSB is not related to my year as far as I know.



And if you go in for other issue's and ask for the unrelated stuff to be done while they are working on your truck, it will be way cheaper as they are already working on it. When I had my 04 QC enabled to use a pass. side airbag switch, I was only charged about $5 as the mech. already was dealing with the computer for the upgrade of the PCM or what ever the engine brain is called.
