Can dealer tell if you had a chip?

Are all the TSB's linked to the VIN such that the dealers can check the VIN only and if nothing comes up then none of the TSB's apply.



This is what they seem to be doing with my truck and none have come up.
 
Specifically, looking at the fan and aluminum wheel issues, the dealer looking up my truck by VIN then said it was not listed in the recall.



There is a tsb on a power steering hose that is supposed to be contributing to a vibration at 2000. I dont see that in the tsb listings at the site you gave me and I suppose the same dealer is going to look things up by VIN again rather than looking at the truck.

if you call 1800 992 1997 dc will give you any info. on your truck with your vin number.
