Tst '06

Would the TST PowerMax CR with R49 be to mutch for a relatively stock 06? I have an AFE air cleaner on it and would like to do something with the exhaust.

Will the stock auto hold up if i only run it on 3/3? What is R 49? What kind of milage can i expect?

I pull a small utility trailer (4000 lbs) and get about 13. 2 mpg. Empty on the highway it gets 18. 2.

I had a TST on my 05 for sometime and ran it on 3/3 from time to time. I put it on 3/5 also to smoke out some tailgaters. Couldnt run it past 2/2 at the track because traction became an issue with only 2wd. The transmission and turbo all seemed to survive just fine when I got rid of the 05 with 33k on it. The 06 I have now is seeing 3/3 once in awhile. But mostly 2/2 for around town. I dont have any mileage numbers for you though. My right foot wont let the throttle get up.

well i have a 04. 5 with a 48 re in it and i run on 5/5 and it goes great , i don t beat on it but when i want to nail it i do , i have a aircleaner and exhaust set up and i put a valve bodie in the transmission ( stock converter ) with no problems , keep it under 75 on the highway i get 175 - 19 miles per gallon , i have 411 gears with a 35" tire

I ran TST on my'00 and my '03, I like them and they ran good. I experienced a problem after 200,000 miles with my '03 TST box, they exchanged the box for $50 and up graded my wiring harness for $65. I was very satisfied with these boxes and service. I pull a 40' trailer 99% of the time and ran mostly 3/3. I did go through several transmissions, lift pumps, injection pumps, and one turbo. Don't really know how much was actully contributed to TST or if it was just me running hard.

With that said my '06 I have elect for changed and went with EDGE JUICE. I like the display. I figure both boxes are pretty much the same technology, the Edge has more options then the TST and I am not adding Analog guages on this truck so I wanted the best looking and readable digital guages I could get for the money. I just installed it today, so far I'm happy.
