I recently installed the TST PMCR on my 06... Let me say I could not be happier! :D :D I am not sure if my transmission would say the same though... but that will be fixed too... all in due time and budget of course. My question is what has been your experience for the best tow setting? I tow about 9000lbs. and have a stock turbo and I am just looking for the best combo, be it 1x1, 1x2, 2x2 etc.

Thanks,

Joe

I tow roughly 14k pounds and run 3/3 with no egt issues at all BUT my truck is an 03 SO model.

Thats about where I run when towing...

The truth is you can tow at any settings, just some you will be able to flat foot it and not have high EGTS - I towed on 7/7 once, Just had to backout when it got hot,etc

Thanks guys I appreciate the input. I may just play with some combo's too! Does anyone else with an 06 have input?

You may want to experiment. I seem to like 3/3 for towing. All I've pulled so far has been my boat ~4000lb maybe, and about 8500lb bobcat on a sturdy equipment trailer. 3/3 worked great for both of those. I have the temperature backdown set to 1300 just to be on the safe side.

Just make sure to ease on and off the throttle if possible to help keep the turbo happy, although it shouldn't be too much of an issue even if you don't.
