TST and high Idle feature question

I recently install the tst powermax and now I noticed that the high idle feature will not work that has always worked on the truck. Does the tst bypass this somehow? It is in the 30's and since putting the tst on it no longer does the automatic high idle. Anyone else notice ths or have a fix?



Also I have alot of timming rattle with it. Does not matter what settings are on. How bad is timming rattle in diesels?

My truck is like that too. Before I loaded the Smarty, my truck would work like you described. I don't run the Smarty anymore, it's back on stock software, and I don't get the automatic high idle anymore. I do have manual high idle now, which I didn't have before the Smarty.



BTW, I put the TST on my truck in Dec. 05, and it didn't affect the high idle.

I had high idle before the smarty and after using smarty and going back to stock back to smarty etc. And seems to be gone now. I also have a terrible timming rattle and cannot turn up the tst with even 3 degeres of timming or its insane.

Maybe it's not quite cold enough yet? I don't remember when mine came on, either high 20's or low 30's. The only other thing I could think of is, did you update the Smarty to newer software? Maybe the newer versions eliminated the auto high idle? I also had bad timming rattle with the Smarty, ask Bob to get you the "TST timing flash. "
