tst box settings and dyno results

looking for someone running close to the same setup i have and that has done alot of fooling around with different hp and torq numbers on the box , trying to figure out whats better 5/5 or 7/2 or 4/6 , the last time i ran on the dyno i got 432 to the rear with it on 6/6 and that with a rottach crank sensor , any info or imput would be helpful :-laf

I made 464/921 on 7/4 with my Edge EZ on 2. It gets real hot, real quick!!

From posts I have seen max hp is usually had with the tq setting pretty low otherwise you drain the rail before you have enough rpm to make hp. I do know that my truck ran MUCH stronger (w/lower egt) on TST with a little pressure vs TST on its own. That was with nozzels though.



I would go with the settings that feel good and have managable egt. Either that or jump on a dyno and see where your truck responds.

Good point!! a modded cp3 changes things considerably, as does injectors, though in the opposite direction. It looks like dude has a TST and stock everything else (per sig). 7/1 or 7/2 should give him the most power, hell 5/2 might be even better.

Well I'll Be Adding A Duel Fuel Line Very Soon , I Run Mostly On 4/4 And When Its Warmed Up And I'm On The Highway I Use 5/5 , Goes Like A Raped Ape On 5/5 But It Smokes Alot More When Your Crusing At Normal Speed , Smokes Like Crazy When You Nail It And I Understand Why But I Don T Understand Why It Smoke More On That Setting When Your Just Going Easy , I Ll Try The 7/2 For The The Next Couple Of Days , Don T Forget I Have A Fass 150 Pump On There To

MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE IT ON 4/4 , AND WHEN YOU NAIL IT IT WILL SMOKE , WHEN I GET ON THE HIGHWAY AND I AM DOING 60 - 65 I PUT IN ON 5/5 AND WHEN YOU FLOOR IT - ITS LAYS DOWN SMOKE - I AM TRYING TO FIND SOME HELP ON TDR WITH GUYS WHO HAVE THE SAME SETUP I HAVE AND TO GET SOME DIFFERENT THOUGHTS AND IDEAS ON WHERE THE RUNNING THERE TST BOXES , WHAT DIFFERENT NUMBER COMBOS THERE RUNNING , LATE IN THE SUMMER I RAN IT ON THE DYNO ON 6/6 AND GOT 435 HP TO THE REAR TIRES , NOT BAD WITH 35" TIRES

I ran mine today on 5/5 with auto timing on 9 and rail pressure 1 and it felt pritty strong that was on standard program and i cant get any smoke!

I jack mine up to 6/8 for smoke. . sometimes higher.



BTW those are LED taillight bulbs in daylight... . although it was cloudy.

How do you like youre dual feed line from II,I have one coming for my 03,can you explain a little how to install it,could you tell it helped any?

Hoot i will give that a try and see what i can get, i dont want it all the time only when needed

Try running the tq number down lower like two or three and raise the top number that seems to work well for many trucks.

If you want smoke and "Want It Now!!" get a Smarty. I haven't run any other downloader besides Smarty but that sucker S M O K E S, big time. Low temps too if you run the stock injector program. Off topic, sorry, but did I mention the Smarty will make smoke??

I agree with you Rmalone, I am smiling from ear to ear after reading your post. Although I don't like smoke at all !! I can show you a "Smoke Show" with the Smarty on level 9 and tst on 2/2 with my modded cp3 !!
