Anyone know when we can expect to see it? Did they shrink down the controller like they were talking about? Starting to get antsy... .

I called them this morning, they said at the end of the month. A good solid 140 hp at the rear wheels. Sounds good. Looks like I'm gonna give up on Edge and run with TST.

So where is Edge? Pressure boxes don't count.

Mark tells me they will be trying to keep the price down at the same level as the current boxes. It will be fully 9 level adjustable, and include the different remotes as options. They will also have an adjustability for low RPM torque. To get a little more info about this, take a look at their Duramax box with the Torque Enhancement feature. This is the same kind of adjustability they're gunning for on the TST Common Rail box.

Got an email from TST this morning regarding the nex box. They said all hardware work is done and they have only to decide how much power in software they can safely sell and certify. They said they have up to 130hp and 400 torque at the rear wheels and they feel there is much more that could be had with only a plug in unit. They way they described the remote it appears it will be the same in function as their current powermax. Lastly they stated they are hoping to have it on sale by May.

Is that with just the box + minor mods (intake, exhaust)? It just sounds too good to be true without bigger changes (injectors, turbo). . I want to believe, it just sounds incredible.

Those gain may be true with just a box. A friend talked to TST a month or so ago and I think it was stated that a 2003 with just a box could make more power than an ISB with stage 3 injectors and a pump wire tap box like a powermax or comp. This could be with the reported competition TST box that may exist. Joe D makes note of it in the latest TDR issue article.

The biggest thing in the way right now is a turbo. I've talked to Piers a couple times about it and the issue appeared to be making a new airbox as well as some piping from a new turbo to the intercooler. Seems like someone could buy that aluminum piece that clamped onto the 2nd gen turbo outlet and mandrel bend a piece of tubing. Then just connect it all with the existing band clamps and rubber charge air hoses. I'm also waiting for a 3 piece manifold from ATS so I can do it all at once. They're working on it right now they said. Then someone will have to make a downpipe to go to the new turbo. DD has had different turbos on their truck and they too are against the airbox/intake plumbing wall.

I've got my SB Con-FE in there getting nice and broken in under stock power so it'll be ready.

I didnt want to post their email entire without their permission. The general tone was that the same thing would apply as with the current box. Gauges recommended, intake, exhaust etc to control egt's. but the hp numbers were for the box alone. They said straight up more power could be had easily without tapping the wire than even the 130/400. Diesel Dynamics, BD, TST, and Bully Dog have all told me that there is lots of easy power to be had with these engines as soon as the turbo, intake, exhaust parts are available.

This might be a really stupid question, but wouldn't the exhaust manifold from a 24 valve 2nd gen fit with a 2nd gen turbo and downpipe? I guess I don't see why the turbo has to be down low and back like it is.
