Is there a secret to getting to the camshaft sensor? I have everything hooked up except for that. I can't get it unplugged to hook up the piggyback plug. Any thoughts or inspiration will be appreciated. :D

I don't recall it being that difficult. Seems like I used a small flat blade screwdriver to slide the clip thing, or start the clip sliding and pushed it out by hand. Helps to have long fingers. Once that is done it's plug and play. You're gunna love it. :)

Since I'm STILL waiting for my PMCR (only been on a $!*@%&!@ waiting list since before Christmas  ) , I did a 'dry run' the other day to see how I could get to the cam sensor. From underneath the truck, with the wheels turned all the way to the right, I found I could slip my arm right up there and disconnect it no problem.

i was quite a pain to get it unclipped for me, the first and the second time!!!

thats why sending back for reflash sucks!

Unplug the lower one first, study how the red clip works. Get the clip out of the top one and your almost home free. Just a little leverage . . .

After sliding the red locking tab, there was just no way I could get enough hand up there to both depress the release lever on the connector, and get a firm grip on it to pull it apart at the same time.

I fished a long tie-wrap up there and around the wire harness, then fastened it so I had a loop I could pull on. Then, while using the stretched out fingers on the one hand I could fit up in there to push on the release button on the connector, I used the other hand to pull on the tie-wrap loop and pull the connector loose. I made sure I transferred the tie-wrap to the TST harness for future removal of it. I wouldn't pull a connector apart by pulling on the wires (great way to pull them right out of the connector) if there was any other alternative, but I couldn't find one for this job.

I figured it out. Laying on my back I had a combonation of issues that all worked against me. I forgot to turn the wheel to the right so the pitman arm was in my way for starters. When I read the above posts I realized my error, but couldn't start the truck to turn the wheel. So I just had to fight it out. The second thing was the red lock connector. Even though I looked at the other one, I was still trying to lock it instead of unlock it. Anyway, its on and running now. :D
