I love my TST PowerMax CR. No issues there. But their customer service is some of the worst I have seen!! If you have a TST PowerMax CR and want it changed to the Twins program, just buy another box with the Twins program and sell yours. It will be easier! How sad is that?

I had a customer come in with an 06 Mega Cab wanting twin turbos and injectors and modded cp3 and everything. So, I sent out the TST for the reflash. July 14th I shipped it Fed EX Second Day Air. In the box was a note requesting the PowerMax be reprogrammed and returned via Second Day Air along with my business name, address, and phone number. 2 weeks go by. no TST. WTF? So I call. Oh, well its sitting on the bench ready to ship. HUH? 2 flippin weeks to upgrade the program? Now, 6 days later, still no TST. Tracking Number says it will be here today. No Second Day Air. My customer has been without a fueling box for 3 WEEKS!!! This is absolutely ridiculous! I understand that things can be busy and that there are many people wanting upgraded programming but 3 weeks? So, when talking to a gal there today to get the tracking info she explains that they have had a lot of reprograms and such. I told her I paid to ship the dam thing Second Day and I'm ****** because its been 3 weeks since it left. She told me I don't have to be an ***** and hung up on me! So now I have a ticked off customer whom I have please. Looks like I get to take a loss there.

So, just so everyone else knows what you can possibly expect if you want a different program in your TST. Plan on not having it for a while and a few people at TST not really caring.

I tried calling last week to get some info on the adjustable timing. After about 10 minutes listening to a recording getting directed in the right way, the phone FINALLY rang... Then they didn't pick up and I went to the answering machine. I agree the service there is a joke. A year ago you could call and get a real person everytime. Now you get to punch buttons. On top of that when I bought my tst a year ago I got if for $750. Now they jacked the price up.

Every time I've dealt with them they've been great. I've sent my box in twice for re-flashes and upgrades. On both occasions, they've turned my box around in two days. They've always been courteous and helpful to me.

One thing I do not like is their new automated attendant. There isn't a way to get a hold of a live person, at least in my experience since they added the system. In fact, I left them a message regarding their automated attendant and the difficulty in reaching a live person. I did not leave a name or number that time.

One other time I called and had to leave a message for someone to call me back. To TST's credit, Danny did call back the same day to answer my questions.

One word of advice- Do not switch the auto cool-down function on or off with the motor running, or if you do, cycle the key afterwards. . The box needs to re-boot before the setting will take effect.

That's the only time mine works. I just hit the grey button once, before I shut the truck off, and it shuts the truck off for me, once it's reached it's temp. What I don't like, is I have to do that every time. There is no way to program it to work all the time, automatically. Unless I'm using it wrong.

It took about 2 weeks for me to get mine back from them, also. They had it about a week before they programmed it, because I called and asked them where it was. It was sitting, waiting to be reprogrammed. They told me they were going to do it the next day, and get it sent out, and they did. They were courteous when I talked to them, though.

I'm sure my level of irritation had something to do with how rude she was, but how can I not be irritated? I expected it to get done, not take 3 weeks to do it. Never mind the customer calling me daily for input on his box. Never mind that I charged him for the extra shipping to get it there and back in a hurry so he wouldn't be without a chip for a long period of time. The point I try to make is how long does it take to program a box? Especially one that shows up with a Second Day Air label on the package? And just how long was it going to sit there before they called me for payment? My info was with the box. It might still be there if I hadn't called and asked where the heck it was!

Bottom line, no one cared.

i think the box sucked it defueled my truck in the worst way called got nowhere. got my well trusted edge hot juice not a problem thumb up to edge

and heres an other fact the last dyno meet at dez racing there was 2 3rd gens mine and a red one with a cr. i had the edge on (not hot juiced) stock sticks. he had a the rail capped i didnt. his truck defueled mad not now dynoed 343 rw. me 435 level 5. go figure he asked me what was done i spoke my peace. and he fliped. so i think hes yet an other p. oed custmer

I have no problem with the chip. If you want the most power money can buy in 1 chip the tst is hands down the best. I wouldn't give it up for anything I just don't like the automated system and the lack of service I've been hearing. Maybe they've sold enough they are starting to act like banks... jk :D

I sent mine to them to have the twin's flash, And got the box back the same week. I havent had to deal with the automated service yet. So maybe I am just lucky. As for there product, No complaint's here.

at least you all got in touch with someone... sounds like they need to add personel... . dont get me started on edge trust me TST is head above them sound like they are just having some growing pains... with that said i need my box updated

been dealing with them for quite some time now. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. However I must admit, I think the new automated answering system sucks in the most severe way

Just doing a little reading between the lines,

Did you call first to find out about their back log, if you will be pushed ahead of the others or if any software changes are in process?

If you chewed her out and dumped it all on her like she is the one doing all the work in the back you might have triggered her reaction. :-laf

This has been an ongoing thing. Back before I even shipped the box I asked what was needed and was told just to ship it. Was told it was a quick thing and wouldn't take long at all. This was Mark ( and I also told him I didn't care for the automated system, nicely). So, I told hiim i would be sending it second day and wanted it back that way and would put a not in with it. All was good. Been busy, didn't really start to worry until abut a week and a half after shipping it when I realsied no on ehad called for payment info. Figured maybe they did it for free, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. Tried for 2 days. 3rd day I finally get someone who says that yes, they have my box and it is setting on the table to be programmed then shipped out. That was friday afternoon - 10 business days after I shipped the box!!! I was a little upset at that point in time already in that after 2 weeks they still hadn't shipped the thing! So, it was supposed to ship out friday, like I asked, second day air. It arrived ground today.

I didn't chew this gal out, I simply tried to get a reason why it took 3 weeks to program a bix, and why when I spent the extra money have it rushed it got slower. The only answer she would give was "well, you aren't the only one sending in boxes, and the programmer has other things to do. " Ok, fine, I buy that, but 2 weeks??? Sounds like they need to hire some hands. Shouldn't be my problem, but they have made it my problem by doing this to me. I have to please an irritated customer, which comes out of my (very slim) margins. Why should their screw up cost me? I did everything that was asked of me. So, this is why I am upset with them. Has NOTHING to do with the product. I love my TST CR, but if they don't start fixin what needs fixin in a hurry they are going to get a rep like Banks for customer service.

TST is a family owned and operated business and all the members try to do their very best every day,

A better bunch of people you will never meet. I am sorry that you had an issue with TST.

Maybe someone dropped the ball and they will learn from their mistake.

We spent a week back their and we were treated like family and saw the operations on a daily basis. This is NOT standard practice and thats for sure.

sorry for your trouble

I have had my box flashed 4-5 times within the last 12 months with different programs and I have never had any issues with thier customer service. I do keep on them though, to make sure the whole process goes smooth and quick.

The early cool-down function is manually activated. You can get automatic cool-down programmed into your module. It will activate every time you shut your truck off. It works really well.

One day I decided to turn the automatic feature off. I was at about 400 deg EGT, and switched it off. Hit the button and got out of the truck. I came out 1/2 hour later and the truck was still running.

I called and talked to Danny, who explained to me they never anticipated someone doing this. He suggested I change the setting with the motor off, and cycle the key once after.

It has worked flawlessly since. I have never had any issues with my TST. Can't say the same for my other plug-in boxes, though.

They've been great to me. I've had reflashes done a few times. I overnight my unit to them with another airbill already filled out for the return flight home. Put it on my Fed-Ex acct. If I send it out Wed. I have it back by 9:30am on Friday. Haven't called in a while. I guess I'm not going to be looking forward to the automated system.
