Ok, i have a tst box comin id like to know what the numbers are when the ez and tst are stacked on these settings

Edge EZ lvl 4 + TST PMCR 1/1

Edge EZ lvl 4 + TST PMCR 2/2

Edge EZ lvl 3 + TST PMCR 1/1

Edge EZ lvl 3 + TST PMCR 2/2

Edge EZ lvl 2 + TST PMCR 2/2

Edge EZ lvl 3 + TST PMCR 3/3

Im running a stock turbo for now, also a stock trans...

Scotty Ram Air III + 4" turbo back exhaust

How will my truck work with edge on lvl 3 and tst 2/2? If possible maybe someone can list there egts with any of those combos, also maybe some hp/trq numbers...

Thanks

unless you like being truckless
... again.

I have numbers for TST and Edge, but not with a stock turbo. I also don't have numbers for settings that low. EGT's from dyno runs will be useless compared to what happens on the street. Hopefully, you've ordered the version with gauges, actually install the thermocouple, and take advantage of the automatic defueling.

A word of warning here as well - the defueling doesn't work so well with the EZ on there. In my experience, I need to set the defueling temp. about 200° lower than I actually want. The backoff algorithm was most likely designed with a stock-pressure fuel rail in mind - the additional fuel delivery from the EZ causes a lag in the TST's ability to keep the EGT's under control.

You're going about this backwards, Nick... you've still got a stock turbo, and you've still got a stock auto trans. Be DAMN careful with how much fuel you dial in, or you WILL be shelling out large coin to your favorite repair shop. The TST on 3/3 alone netted me about 90HP at the wheels. With the EZ on 3, that's about another 60HP or so. 150RWHP over stock, which is about 270 or so... you're into transmission-busting range.

PLEASE be careful...

Your going to kill that stock turbo and transmission, you know that, right?

TST on 4/4 and EZ on 4 will peg your EGT gauge real fast, with stock turbo.

No dyno numbers, but TST on 4/4, DD2's, felt well into the 500 range, along with a DD Turbo. Fastest combo I've tested so far.

Just use your head, the turbo will last. Not quite sure about the trans. But you'll need to build it sooner or later. see what she can withstand.

I dynoed mine in muncie. Didn't really run it at the track to get a feeling of what worked good with the stock turbo. Started with ez at level 5 probably a mistake on my part. Ez on 5 Tst on 6/4 and pulled a 422hp, and 859 ft-lbs. The tester put it on 7/7 and it dropped off a little, and 8/8 it dropped a little more. I think if I would have turned the ez down and had time to play with it, it may have turned out better. Don't really know. I don't know what the egt's were I wasn't in the truck. I know running down the track it pegs 1769, which I guess is the limit of Tst gauge. Turn and burn, let her eat! Hope this helps some. Lee.

its been said that the edge ez actually cools down the truck when using the tst... . I paid for the edge ez im not just gonna not use it. .

XJSuperman its more like 450 - 470 hp range now. Ill be there soon. Mind your own business dont dig up old ****. .

I haven't dynoed my setup, but with the EZ on level 4, and TST on 3/3 I ran a 14. 7 @ 94. 5 mph in the 1/4 mile. With a built auto it might touch a high 13... depends on the defueling situation. I think I could have gone a bit faster, but I haven't been back to the track yet. That equates to somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 rwhp. I can tell you that on that setting the stock turbo is maxed out. It won't clean up the smoke at WOT in 5th & 6th gear, and shifting into 6th taps 40 psi and settles back to a constant 37... right at the top of its map. I think your transmission will let go long before the turbo will, though. Set the EZ high and start on 1/1 with the TST and start cranking it up until it slips.

WOW... got your panties bunched uh! LOL... I just like to poke fun because every day it's something different with you.

I think he's referring to some numbers I posted a while back. I did some dyno testing with various TST and EZ combinations. While true that the mere addition of an EZ won't cool the EGT's, it has the net effect of giving the same overall amount of fuel per charge, but the ability to deliver it earlier, thereby cutting back on the injector pulse width, which reduces the EGT's.

My greatest EGT with the TST alone was on power level 9 (no kidding, right?), at 1037°F. That produced 385HP. With the TST on level 5 and the EZ on level 4, I made an additional 105HP, with about a 100°F drop in EGT's.

More fuel earlier in the combustion cycle, better fuel atomization, and less flame burning up exhaust valves due to more duration leads to more power and lower EGT's. On the dyno, anyway... as we know, real world is usually a bit different :)
