Went to the dyno shop today, and did over a dozen runs, trying different combinations of TST Power, Torque, and EZ settings. Here are the numbers:

The maximum HP/torque figures are highlighted. What's interesting is that adding more fuel beyond this setting produced lower numbers (and lots of black smoke). However, the best run with the EZ at power level 0 produced a max EGT of 1037°F. The best run with the EZ at power level 4 produced an extra 12HP, an extra 87 ft. lbs. , and a max EGT of 950°F.
We also know that the TE setting doesn't really affect top-end HP (look at the 9/0/0 run and the 9/3/0 run - within 8HP, and the 7/0/0 and 7/7/0 runs - within about 9HP). Mark has stated as much in e-mails to customers (the TE fueling curve declines linearly towards 0 at 2900RPM). Given that, the difference with the EZ on is clearly visible: the 5/0/0 and 5/5/4 runs produced a difference of about 65HP, and somewhere around 80ft. lbs. , with a lower EGT.
The EZ was connected between the ECM and the TST. The TST had a direct connection to the MAP sensor. Reversing these didn't make much sense, since the TST fuels based on observed boost, so no runs were done with the EZ first in line.
The only thing that really troubles me (other than the fact that I missed my goal of 500RWHP by less than 10HP
), is the lower-than-expected torque, and the fact that torque didn't peak until high in the RPM range.
I guess this is just because the boost wasn't maxxing out until around 2500RPM or so, and by that time, the engine was out of it's torque band. My torque figures at the top of the RPM band are in line with Mark's dyno graphs, so I'm just chaulking it up to the fact that the larger DD turbo doesn't spool as quickly as the teeny stocker (but is capable of 40psi all day long, whereas the stocker likes to go BOOM!
)
All in all, it was a good day at the dyno. HP numbers came in about as expected, and no holes were created in hoods, walls, ceilings, or people from unexpected shrapnel. Ya can't ask for more than that...
