I bought one before they had the warning with the intension of installing it permanently but decided against it. The screw is just too small in diameter, felt engine vibration could break it easily. Plus there's just not enough room in the top of the filter area to do much plumbing. I also like using the bleed screw after a filter change, it would have made it a hassle. The TST adaptor has come in handy for checking other folks FP though.
Tapping the injection pump inlet banjo bolt is a better way to go, plenty of room and a solid connection. Whichever way you go install a gauge snubber or needle valve or you will never be able to read the gauge with your 12 valve.
