2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission TST Location

Hey guys, was wondering those of you with the TST Powermax, where did you intsall the controller box? There are no provisions for screwing it onto something, and it's pretty heavy so I don't think Velcro would hold that well.



Just looking for ideas.



Also, how did you pass that big "cannon" plug though the firewall?

I mounted the power unit in the cab under the steering wheel behind the lower dash panel cover. There is a steel support frame behind the dash that is U shaped. In my case, the power unit was just narrow enough to fit in the U. So it sits in the bottom U just under the steering wheel. Slid to the right into the side U and it is locked neatly into place. I taped the power unit switch in the "ON" position and padded the end area with some foam tape.



The remote cable comes straight out the top through crack between the lower steering wheel cover and the lower dash cover. I don't smoke so I velcrowed the remote over the ashtray just under the HVAC controls. It is very easy to see there does not get in the way of anything else.

I pulled out the ash tray slid it up and gave it a wack with my fist and it has been there ever since. 3yrs now

I don't have a remote for it. It's an older TST that doesn't have provisions for a remote. Picked it up for $100 from my buddies Dad.



Do you need to see the lights on the front of it? I'll have to check out behind the *** tray. I'm assuming the tray still works?? It's my junk collector, along with the cup holder and T case shifter boot

I used the gray exterior velcro that sticks to anything. I have it on the area below the steering column under the dash.
